  • Hi Leo,

Here are my comments on the schematic

    • ENSMB pin (48) is tied to GND using a 10kOhm resistor. This is not a valid strap option. Did you mean to put the device in pin mode? For that we recommend a 1kOhms resistor to GND.
    • All the other strapping options have both PU and PD resistors, with no indication of either being DNP. You must correctly configure all the strap options in pin mode since the device solely operates off of straps in this mode.

Since it is not clear what strap options you want to choose, and which are actually selected, I cannot provide you with a proper schematic review. Please make these changes and let me know what particular EQ and DEM settings you are trying to configure and upload the updated schematic in a reply to this thread.

  • Ok, we change to 1K ohm to GND, and we also update setting as PDF, please help check it, thanks!replay_8port_ext_v1_sch_20260827.pdf

  • Hi Leo,

    Here are my comments

    • ENSMB pin strapped to pin mode, meaning no SMBus access
    • Both EQ and DEM settings set to Level 6
    • Rate set to Gen 3 without Demphasis
    • PRSNT pin PD to GND using 20kOhms. Ensure that this pin reads low for proper functionality
    • RXDET left floating for default termination setting
    • LPK set to normal operation, no loopback
    • VDD SEL set to 3.3V Mode
    • Signal Detect Threshold left at default
    • Do not connect 3.3V to VDD pin. In 3.3V Mode, these pins are required to have 0.1uF capacitors since they are the output of the internal regulator

    Best,
