TCAN1473-Q1: WAKE pin routing if unused (TCAN1473-Q1)

Dear TI experts,

Could you check that how can I route WAKE pin if I do not use it?

Datashet says that it should be pulled to Vsup or ground, it is not clear.

What is your best choice?

Connect to Vsup directly
Connect to Vsup using pull-up
Connect to GND directly
Connect to GND using pull-down

Hi Chase,

Please use a pullup or pulldown resistor when connecting the WAKE pin to VSUP or GND. This can be 10K or larger.

Can I know the reason why you recommend pullup or pulldown not just directly connect to VSUP or GND?

Hi Chase,

The reason is that large VSUP or GND voltage shifts could cause an accidental wake up on this pin. The resistor prevents this. Note that this is very much an edge case scenario. You can still get away without it.
