- HS connection indicator
- SS connection indicator
- HS suspend indicator
- Multiple SMBus slaves address options
We can look at the TUSB8041A datasheet to see what these indicator pins do:
The TUSB8041A indicators will function in either I2C or SMBus mode and SMBus Address is adjustable.
The TUSB8044A indicators will only function in SMBus mode. In I2C mode these pins will serve billboard functionality. The SMBus address is also static in the TUSB8044A.
Regarding TUSB8044A, Can we configure following settings via Pin strap?
- Inndividual / Gang
- Power Switch ENABLE logic
- Enable/Disable of BC1.2
Yes, all of these can be configured in pin-strap mode.
