TPS25751: LDO_3V3 Output Current Capability When Using PD as a Source

Hi team,
 
I understand that when using the device as a Source, Vin_3V3 must be supplied from an external power source.
In the case where PD is used as a Source, is the maximum output current of LDO_3V3 limited to 50 mA?
We are considering using LDO_3V3 to power an EEPROM and would like to confirm the available output current capability.

    Shota-san,

    I would highly recommend using the A-version of the device (TPS25751A). This is a pin-to-pin ROM spin and will help passing with compliance testing for newer versions of the USB-IF specification. 

    The parameter you are looking for is a bit misleading and is a test parameter that we used to measure the specific RDS_ON parameter of the FET used for the LDO.

    You should be looking at the following parameter:

    (Note it is the same for the D-variant).

    It is completely acceptable to use LDO_3V3 for powering the EEPROM and this is done by most of our customers. The EVM does this as well and the parameters for the current required for the EEPROM operation are well within the 5mA limit:
