Hello,

our application as below show, for the differential impedance control, how much should we followed? 85Ω or 100Ω ? or both of them are acceptable? thanks! eDP used for our project.

Hello Liujian,

If you are using DP mode, it is recommended to have the traces matched to 100Ohm differential impedance.

If you are using eDP mode, it is recommended to have the traces matched to 85Ohm differential impedance.

here we are using eDP mode, and i want to know if we can use 100Ohm differential impedance instead of 85Ohm, and what's the affect?

Hi,

the Note in red box says, you must use 85ohm +/-15%, but if you are not using an eDP connector then you must use 100ohm instead of 85.

Are you using eDP connectors? If yes, then 85 +/-15%. If no then 100ohm

Hello,

does the eDP connectors means specific connectors? any specific requirement for the connector? we do have zif connector between two board(main board and LCD board), but i'm not sure this zif connector same as the eDP connector? thanks!

Hi,

We do not specify an eDP connector. If you are using any eDP connector you should switch to85ohm trace impedance. But if your devices are connected directly using PCB traces, then you should use 100ohm trace impedance.
