Hi team,

Background: We are evaluating a migration from DS90CR286A to DS90CR288A. The DS90CR288A datasheet and RSKM application information appear to specify Receiver Skew Margin primarily at 85 MHz operating conditions.

Questions:

Is there an official RSKM specification for DS90CR288A at 40 MHz clock frequency?
If no direct specification exists, is there a recommended method to calculate or estimate RSKM versus operating frequency?
Can TI comment whether the effective RSKM at 40 MHz is expected to be comparable to or larger than that of DS90CR286A under equivalent channel conditions?

This previous E2E thread outlines how RSKM is determined and how it can be estimated based on the source clock frequency:

Please note that this device has not been characterized at 40 MHz so this is just an estimation, the customer will need to verify their implementation to ensure it meets the RSKM formula provided in the above thread and datasheet.

In theory the max will be larger, but it is best to keep it as low as possible.
