TUSB1146: I2C address of device

Dear support,

we have adjusted DPEQ0 to 0 and SSEQ0 to 0. Is the I2C address 0x44 we should see on the bus or is it 0x88? Can you please help with that.

Hi,

Does the I2C controller use 7-bit or 8-bit addressing?

We typically use 7-bit addressing meaning that no read/write bit is needed.

For DPEQ0/ SSEQ0 = 0/0, the 8-bit address is 1000 100x or 0x88 for write and 0x89 for read

The 7-bit address will be shifted to the right 0x0100 0100 or 0x44.
