Regarding the eDP re-driver requirement, the solution needs to support PSR (Panel Self Refresh) functionality.

Could you please advise if TI has any recommended parts or solutions that support this requirement?

Hi,

You can use TDP142 as an eDP re-driver. The Panel Self Refresh is implemented by sending the required DP aux message. Since TDP142 only snoops the AUX traffic, it will support the Panel Self Refresh function.

Hi David

Could you please confirm whether TDP142 supports the eDP interface? We only see DP mentioned in the datasheet.

Also, since this part was manufactured in 2017 and is now about 9 years old, is there any EOL risk?

For reference, another vendor's redriver explicitly specifies eDP support, as shown in the attached image.

Hi,

TDP142 will support eDP and does not an EOL risk.

You can also use TDP2004 as the newer device.
