Hi,

I am reviewing our current designs. We want to have RS-485 with minimum 105 deg C operating temperature.
Currently we use this SN65HVD3085EDR but its rated at 85 deg C MAX temp. Can you please recommend an alternate part that is easily available and cost effective ?

Hi Adeel,

You can take a look at the THVD1500, or if you need more speed the THVD1520. They both go up to 125 C.

I want to protect the A and B lines against 24V DC mis wiring event. I see that there is an option of THVD2450 but that is more expensive chip. Is there a cost effective way of achieving the same ?

I'd still recommend the THVD2450 if you need the higher bus fault rating, but I'll let you determine what is best cost/complexity wise for your project.
