MAX3221: No output between C1+ and C1-

Measurements on the failed boards found that C71 had no high-level output voltage, normal output is 3.3V.

This type of failure had not been observed in the previous generation D/C products during their service life. It is now mainly occurring in the 25XX and 26XX D/C products.

Hi Tim,

I will need more information to help you here. Can you send a schematic, or explain how the rest of the pins are biased/what they are connected to? If you could send a scope shot of the C1 pins and VCC pins of a failing board and a functioning one that would also help to compare. Any more information you can give on your setup would be helpful.
