That link is not working for me.

This thread gives a theta_JC, but it is unclear if the part in question is SN65LVDS31 or SN65LVDS33PWR, or if the parts have the same value: SN65LVDS31: Junction-to-Case Thermal Information - Interface forum - Interface - TI E2E support forums

Hi Douglas,

Sorry about that. Theta JC (junction to case) is 39.9 C/W.

This app note shows that the equation we can use is TJ = TA + (Power * theta-JA). Since the theta-JA is 84.8 C/W and the max power dissipation at 85C is 494mW we can calculate our max junction temperature at 85C cannot exceed 126.9C.
