Hello, We purchase both parts SN55LBC174 and SN55LBC175, we need the cavity height to establish appropriate PIND test conditions. I reviewed the datasheet but couldn't find anything about the cavity height. Could you provide the internal cavity height, including nominal value and tolerance or minimum/maximum limits, with units for this part. Thanks!

Which package are you looking for? I've linked both the LCCC and CDIP packages below. The LCCC does have an issue where it doesn't show the full package dimensions.

Note that if you are working on a new design, I'd recommend looking at our latest RS-232 transceivers that have better ESD, higher data rate performance, and other improved features. Something like the TRS3253E-EP might be a more modern alternative. But if you need to stick with the SN55LBCxx parts, that's still fine.

Hey Ethan, thanks for the reply and drawing information. Does Texas Instruments provide a cavity height for this part as part of a drawing or any other document?

We want to PIND (Particle Impact Noise Detection) test this hermatically sealed device and the cavity height is crucial in establishing the frequency at which the device is vibrated.
