The amount of current sink on the buffered side is proportional to the current sink on Sx/Sy side. 

The datasheet provides the IIOS and IIOL current specifications: 

We have minimum current values, but no max data available across PVT. 

If the MCU is I2C compatible, it should be able to sink 3mA of current IOL when VOL = 0.4V. 

The MCU would adhere to the IIOS spec.
