SN74AVCH8T245RHLR - QFN center pad connection

Hi,

I am using SN74AVCH8T245RHLR - QFN package. Where should the center pad be connected for this IC? It is not given in datasheet.

Actually, TI's general app note for QFN package says that the connection for the center pad should be as recommended in datasheet but in most of the datasheets from TI, they do not mention where the center pad for QFN should be connected. TI need to update all the QFN ICs datasheets to include this information.

    In addition to above, I have same doubt for SN74AVCH4T245RGYR - QFN package too.

    Can anyone tell me where should I connect center pad for these ICs?

    Can I leave it open or should I connect it to GND plane?
