TRS3232ECPWR question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRS3232

Hi,

I am using a TRS3232ECPWR RS232 transceiver to interface to an

ARM Cortex micro serial port. When another computer is connected to

this port I see leakage voltage (~1.7V) appearing on my power rail when

the power to the ARM host is turned off. This means the ARM serial port

is being driven when the local power is off. Does anyone know how to prevent

this occuring without adding a lot of isolation gates or diodes to the TRS3232ECPWR.

thanks!

  • Larry,

Can you draw a picture of this?
If not, some clarification will help.

RE:  I am using a TRS3232ECPWR RS232 transceiver to interface to an ARM Cortex micro serial port.
I understand; our TRS3232 to ARM.

RE: When another computer is connected to this port I see leakage voltage (~1.7V) appearing on my power rail..
Now computer is connect to...ARM, TRS3232, or both?
1.7V is on ARM power rail.

    Waiting input,
