Met up with Vivotek yesterday. They are a major surveillance customer of ours here in Taiwan. They build about ~360K IP cameras a year and ALL of them using TPS2375x at 13W and 25.5W versions.
I introduced them to the TLK100 and they like the long cable reach feature of the device but asked how they can transmit PoE over such a long distance? Has your team done an analysis on how much power needs to be provided at the PSE to be able to get 13 or 25.5 W at the PD over a long 200 m cable?
By the way, I am guessing the quality and type of cable will also come into play here. And also keep in mind that while 13 W is the PoE max spec, most cameras are well below this power consumption.
Thanks,
