XIO2001 support

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XIO2001

HI,

We are using the following bridge - XIO2001 - PCI to PCIE and have some problems with this bridge:

  1. Need drivers for LINUX (2.16) On PPC440.
  2. We need to configure the Bridge as slave device and use an external arbitrator (in this case it's the PPC440).
  3. The device has no IDSELECT line so initial configuration in this stage is not clear.
  4. We need help on the configuration process in slave mode, how can we configure the device with no IDSELECT line exists?

BR,

Rotem

The problem is that the XIO2001 is not a PCI to PCIE bridge. It does not have IDSEL because it cannot be used as a slave PCI device.

And when you've found a PCI/PCIe bridge chip (which I didn't on TI's web site): Linux has PCI bridge support built in; no drivers are needed. (And there is no Linux 2.16 kernel.)
