Confirm XIO2001 Schematic

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XIO2001

8738.MR-100-V1.0-PCI.PDF

Hi, I designed with xio2001.

Would you review the schematic?

< environment >

1)     CPU  : Freescale P1010  OS :   linux

2)     33Mhz PCI BUS

3)     On board

<Check Point>

Is EEPROM in GPIO[4:3] is mandatory?

Please review PCIR1, PCIR2 and the configuration of other pins.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

    We are reviewing your schematic and will reply soon.

    Regards.

  • Hello,

    I have only 3 comments:

    1) If JTAG interface is not used: JTAG_TRST and JTAG_TCK should be pulled down, all other JTAG terminals can be left  floating.
    2) The AC coupling capacitors on TXP and TXN of the XIO2001, have to be close to the PCIe connector.
    3) Connect PCIR to the clamp I/O voltage through a 1K resistor.

    Also, make sure you follow the power-up sequence described on Section 3.1.1 of Data Manual.

    Regards.

  • Thank you very much!!

    Hi Elias

    Thank you for your kind support.

    One of my customer request is linux driver(2.6.35) for Xio2001 and refer to the below .

    >DVR : One board system

    >Main Chip : P1010(freescale)

    >Block parts : P1010 ( PCI_e port ) <-> Xio2001(PCI_e to PCI bridge ) <-> Ast1200 (codec chip : PCI interface )

     ; P1010(freescale), Xio2001A(Ti), Ast1200(customize codec chip)

    >Customer Request :

    1) Linux driver(2.6.35)

    2) Review of Log file :

    ->Adress 0x80010000 is 0x8240104c ; Xio2001

    ->Adress 0xffe09000 is 0x8101004c ; Ast1200

    She has some problem is Main CPU(P1010) and Xio2001 interface. And She doubt Software problem of linux driver.

    From Avnet-korea

    Eddy Lee (eddy.lee@avnet.com)

    1. The XIO2001 is a plain PCI bridge and is already handled by the Linux PCI core.
    2. What is the problem?
