PC side driver for TUSB 7320

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB7340, TUSB7320

Hello sir,

We are planing to use TUSB 7320 as host controller. We are having evaluation board for the same. We are working on altera Boards. I want to ask you few questions realted to this:-

1. Where can we find the driver for PCIE root complex, if i connect this TUSB to external processor.?

2. How to do mass storage implementation in TUSB 7320. Where can I find the driver and related files. I saw a driver in "Texas Instruments xHCI Driver v1.12.18 (  WHQL - Multilanguage)" folder. i think this is mass storage driver. but how can we implemnt this driver in nios.?

3. Do you have any Program for data to TLP packets conversion that has to be done in NIos.

4. IF you provide any demo related to 7340that is using nios development,  it wil be helpful .

Thanks and regards,

Deepak Manakkadan.

  • Hello Deepak,

Our TUSB7340 and TUSB7320 devices are xHCI compliant USB 3.0 host controllers; that said you would need to follow the devices's data sheet and the xHCI spec in order to develop/implement a driver for our device.

Most of the major OS already provide an xHCI driver, that includes Linux and Windows 8. The driver you are referring to is our xHCI driver for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, this is a host controller driver implementing all the USB classes, not only mass storage.

Unfortunately, we don't have any NIos driver, demo or source code.

    Regards,

    Jorge
