Hi,

i need to know the output resistance of the DS90UR241Q serializer to do some simulations. Can anybody help me how to estimate the output resistance considering the given specifications in the datasheet. (C_Load = 10pF to GND, R_Load = 100Ohm, t_LLHT = 245ps V_OD = 500mV).

Hi,

thanks for the link to the IBIS model of the DS90UR241 device! Unfortunately I never worked with an IBIS model before and so I am not able to understand this file. Where can I find the output resistance of the LVDS outputs?

Greetings

The IBIS model contains V/I and V/T data, there are model tool utilities to plot the VI curves in the IBIS model. The slope of the output V/I curve is the output impedance. This driver is more of a clamped Voltage-mode driver that drives the source terminations (100 Ohm) and then the line. Being a Voltage-mode implementation, its output impedance is low and in the 10 ohm range.
