  • Hi Calum,

We are selling the TUSB8040A EVM now:  http://www.ti.com/tool/tusb8040aevm

It may be currently on backorder, but we are expecting new boards in soon.

    Regards,

    Julie

  • Hello JMMN:

Since I saw you posted an answer to this thread, I figure out that you probably know more about the TUSB8040AEVM board.

Can you comments on how do I get the AC power adapter for this board (i.e. 5V DC, 4-5A), or can recommend a 3rd party adapter?

If not, how about someone at TI that work on this that I can ask the question

    thanks,

    Kiet

  • Hi Kiet,

I spoke to your local TI rep.  I will send you the power adapters.  We are unable to bundle power adapters with the EVMs due to some international shipping restriction.

    Regards,

    Julie Nirchi

  • Thanks Julie:

As I said I purchase 2 of these. Can you send 2 adapters, one for each board.

    Here is my shipping address:

    Kiet Ly

    Honeywell

    Scanning & Mobility

    9680 Old Bailes Road

    Fort Mill, SC 29707

    thanks,

    Kiet

  • Hi Julie:

Thank you for your kindness for sending me the power adapters for the boards. I am using the hub for Microsoft WHQL testing and the below is one of the requirement:

    ◦ One USB 3.0 hub. Must load the latest firmware for the SuperSpeed hub to work. Must implement consistent Container ID for the SuperSpeed and high-speed hub nodes.

So, do you know if there is a latest firmware release for this board other than the default firmware shipped with the board. If so, can you please point me to the latest fw and instruction and procedure for firmware update.

Also, does this implement "consistent Container ID"

    thanks,

    Kiet

  • Hi Kiet,

Our hub does not use firmware and the Container ID is consistent between the SuperSpeed and High-speed hub nodes.

    Regards,

    Julie
