TUSB7320EVM

Dear Support Team,

I recently Bought TUSB7320EVM and I am trying to use it on Windows 7. I managed to install the driver and can see it in device manager. But It is not detecting my USB (3 & 2 both). I am using Intel Atom processor and PCIe x1 slot at the moment.

Your quick response will be appreciated.

Regards,

Rosha

  • Further to this, I can also see all the 3 LEDs are ON and I followed the user guide properly. Is there anything I have to enable in BIOS ?

  • Hello,

Make sure  the jumper shunts are populated on J26 and J40.

What driver version did you installed?

    Regards.

  • Thanks for your reply. Yes, Jumper are on their correct position and I am using latest driver "Texas Instruments xHCI Driver v1.12.24 ( Multilanguage - WHQL )". I have tried the same on some other board but result is still the same. Doing some mistake which I am not able to figure out.

    Regards

  • I am trying to install TUSB7320 driver on Kernel 2.6.38.6 but no success upto now. I am not able to unable the drivers in it. Any suggestion?

    Regards

  • Rosha,

Are you trying to install the driver on windows or Linux?  (in each case, can you specify what SO version)

If you are running on Linux then you have to go with the Linux community which is who support the xHCI driver, I have attached some instruction on how to do that.

    Regards.

  • Hi,

I managed to install it on Intel Core processor but still it is not working with Intel Atom. I am working on Windows 7. I am not doing anything now on Linux at the moment.

  • Hello Rosha,

I've just got a new atom platform and installed the Host's driver, the first time I connected the driver was not working, I've got a yellow flag on the USB Controller, then I installed the Chipset INF driver that came with the motherboard, after that the host were recognized with no problem.

Can you elaborate more on "...still is not working..."

    Regards.

  • Hi Elias,

Yes, Finally I managed to install it on another Atom Platform.

And Now the main issues arises as below is the reason why I am working on it. It has been reported to me that when we transfer the data in bulk ( 2GB or higher) from USB3.0 to the SATA and vice verse, we get Device Data Error (Transaction Error) and then it resets the USB port and abort the transaction. I can observe this using USBlyzer tool. I can see 64K buffer sits between Hard disk and USB 3 and we get an error when it transfer data from that buffer. So I need to know that is this buffer provided by TI chip?

I am also sending you the snapshot of error I got.

Did anyone also reported this kind of issue?

Please take this issue as matter of urgency.

    Rgrds,

    Rosha

  • Hello Rosha,

I've a similar issue too.  I have seen that the performance of the device drop down to USB2.0 speed with copying large file or running benchmark (CrystalDiskMark 3.0 x64) I also updated the driver to my Dell PC Intel iCore5 Window 7.  The device started off in USB3 thru-put speed (~+110 MB/s) then steadily drop down to mid 30MB/s.  A final note, it takes +2 days to get any reply from technical support....

  • Rosha,

Would you please explain what is your requirement when you say "So I need to know that is this buffer provided by TI chip?"

I can not duplicate your issue I have no problems with the evm running on atom, can you send a PCI register dump of the TUSB73X0

    Regards.
