How to run bist over MacPHYter

Hello

I would test some eth interfaces using the bist capabilities of DP83848 and DP83849.

I'll have to run this test during bscan test stage, so using bscan i'll have to set and get some registers...

Could someone suggest the minimum configuration of registers and also the fixture cable setup in order to set loopback over the analog front end?

The functionality supported by the JTAG implementations for the DP83848 and the DP83849 are described in the BSDL files. These files are available at:

As you can see from these files, the implementation supports board level testing, but does not include hooks for register access. However, the packet BIST functionality for these devices can be accessed using the MDC/MDIO register interface.
