Does TI have an RS232 autoswitching 2-1 mux? I took a look around and couldn't find anything in our portfolio in the RS232 folders. If not is there another way to accomplish this? Thanks

Scott,
Why use a RS232 mux? It would be easier to have two RS232 ports instead.
We have inexpensive single RS232 devices and we also have dual RS232 devices.
Ron,
Im not sure i have the ability to use more then one. Do we have any type of switch for that, or could I use an analog mux?
Scott,
Can you supply a picture or flow chart?
I think you have three RS232 devices; A, B and, C and you want to build a box to connect all three.
It seems logical that communcation will be A<-->B or A<-->C, but never B<-->C.
Does A, B, & C support hardware handshaking?
How should the mux/switch be controlled (what controls to what A talks)?
