I am considering using the PCA9517 as a repeater with +5V on both the A and B sides. How much power can I expect it to consume on an average?

Hi Rishi,
I will follow up with this question. I will get back to you shortly.
Thanks,

Hi Rishi,
Since there is no typical ICC spec for VCCA, it is difficult to find the average power consumption.
The maximum power consumption will be (1mA * 5V) (max for VCCA) + (5mA * 5V) (max for VCCB) or 30mW. The average, however, will be less than (1.5mA * 5V)(typically ICC for VCCA) + (1mA * 5V) (max for VCCA) or 12.5mW.
Hope this helps!
Ben
Hi all , I am using TCA9535PWR for switching ULN2803 which is further being used for driving 8 relays with 90mA current consumption for each relay. Now I am facing problem of heating of Both ULN2803 and TCA9535 (TCA9535 is heating more). I tried inserting 1k to 4.7K of resistance in series between I/O expander and ULN2803 but still not be able to solve the problem .Please Help. for your reference Attaching the circuit diagram i am using for this purpose.
thanks
