auto negotiation complete bit on dp83848t

Hi all,

I am working on establishing a communication channel between my customized board and PC. I take the OMAPL138 as the main CPU on my board and dp83848t as the transceiver, and succeeded in linking in loopback mode, then also with PC . However, when i read the Auto-Negotiation Complete bit on Basic Mode Status Register (BMSR) of dp83848t, it presented as '0', which means the Auto-Negotiation process not completed. Anyone could tell me how to fix this problem?

Could you provide a complete dump of the registers before and after attempting to link?

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your reply. The complete dump of the Basic Mode Status Register is 0x7849 and 0x784D before and after attempting to link respectively.

I apologize for being unclear. What I would like to see is a complete dump of all the registers (address 0x00, 0x01, 0x02, ... 0x1D) shown in the datasheet. I would like to verify the overall configuration of the device.
