ds26lv32

The ds26lv32 data sheet says the output of the receiver is guaranteed hi if the inputs are open. We have 120 ohm termination resistors on all of our inputs. What is the expected output of the receiver with no input? I measure the hi and lo inputs to the receiver and see ~1.8 to 2.0VDC. The output is low on some channels and hi on others. Can you tell me if/how their is an internal pullup/pulldown? Thanks.

  • Hi Ed,

Figure 7 of the data sheet, shows the input bias and impedance. I tried to paste to this post but was not successful. However based on your result it seems with 120 Ohm we are too close to the threshold limits. Do you see the same problem if you change to 100 Ohm R? There are 5K Ohm R either pulled to Vcc or GND and this should bias the part in the event of no input but with 120 Ohm we seem to be close to the threshold limit.
