I've been trying a couple of NICs using the DP83816, but I can't get linux to configure the boards.
The natsemi driver recognizes the boards but whenever I try to assign an address with ifconfig the system reports a failure with the error message "SIOCSIFADDR: No such device eth*". I've tried many linux distributions, even very recent, they all give the same result.
The boards are AMBER MACPHYTER II DP83816 DEMO (rev 1.20).
I'd highly appreciate any suggestions.
