Communication through TUSB3410 v1.2 is much faster than v6.5.9018.1 in Windows XP 32bit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB3410

We have a software that communicates to EEPROM through TUSB3410 driver. There was a good performance in communication between EEPROM and software through TUSB3410 v1.2. But when we upgrade the driver to v6.5.9018.1, performance downgraded. Is this a known problem in Windows XP 32 bit OS? When I run the same software in Windows 7 64 bit, performance is good. We are seeing the issue only with XP operating systems.

Please clarify.

Thanks,
Giri Ganesh

  • Hello Giri,

We have not reports about any similar issue, could you please provide us more detail about the problem,

     1)      Are you using the same computer  when you try on XP-32 bits and Win7 64 bit? Could you provide us the complete information about the failing system? (processor, ram, Operating system…)

    2)      Could you please try on Win7 32-bit and Windows XP 64-bit? We would like to analyze if you have problems on those architectures.

    3)      Can you send us the reproduction steps in order to try to reproduce this behavior at our end? If you are using a specific software for the reproduction, could you please provide it?

    Regards,

    Roberto.

  • Two different computers for XP 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit.

XP 32- bit: Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2 with 1 GB RAM, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz.
Windows 7 64 bit: Laptop with 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i7.

Let me try with Win 7 32 bit and Win XP 64 bit, but it take to get those machines.

Software is tightly coupled with hardware, so I am unable to provide that.

    Regards,
