DS100MB200 / TRUE TABLE AND PIN DESCRIPTION

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS100MB201

 Hi,

Our Customer is working with the DS100MB200 and there seems to be difficulties in understanding the truth table (Table3).

In the pin description on page 4 it says that when SEL0, SEL1 are at a '0' it selects B Channel input and output. '1' in these pins selcts Channel A input and output.

When Fanout pin is at '1' both A and B channels outputs are enabled.

Looking at the Truth Table (Table 3 / Page 11) using Fanout = '1' / SEL0 = '0' / SEL1 = '0') I should expect DIN1 to be present on both SOA1 and SOB1.

Our customer doesnt see the DIN1 data on both lanes, only on one of the lanes. As I wrote above selecting SEL0 & SEL1 as '0' is mentioned in the "pin description" section of the data sheet to operate only one channel, the B channel. So is the Truth table correct? does the "1,0,0" configuration should operate both output channels or only the B channel, and that is why our customer can not "see" the DIN1 data on both channels?

It seems that the Fanout does work when SEL0 and SEL1 are in a different logic state. this is Fanout = '1' / SEL0 = '1' / SEL1 = '0'.

Please advise
