XIO2001PNP (HTQFP / PNP package) -

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XIO2001

Most bridge chip datasheets state that you can swap the polarity of the differential signals on the PCI-e side in order to make the routing work. This chip does not specifically state that. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Kuya,

The XIO2001 fully compliant the PCIe base specs 2.0; so you can swap the lanes of the differential pairs, this is possible because during the training sequences, all the receptors can detect this swapping and  change the polarity of the incoming data.

for more information you can refer the PCIe base specs 2.0 section 4.2.4 (specially subsections 1 and 4).
