Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7241M

Hi All,

Is certified products with the following test ISO7241M?

     ・CANADA/CSA   IEC 60950-1 2nd Edition

     ・Thermal cycling test

Best regards

Seishin

  • Seishin,

For all of our isolation products, there is a section titled 'More Literature' on the product page that contains certification information. Here is the link to that section for ISO7241M

    http://www.ti.com/product/iso7241m#doctype5

There is a link to the CSA certification at that location (http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/szzq071d). You will find on page 1 of that document that ISO7241 has been certified to 4kV peak isolation according to IEC60950-1 2nd Ed.

Page 7 of that document explains the thermal cycling testing done to the ISO7242, which is essentially the same part with a 2/2 channel configuration instead of a 3/1 in the ISO7241. One sample was subjected to 10 cycles of the following: 68h at 135C, 1h at 25C, 2h at 0C, and 1h at 25C. After cycling, the sample passed a dielectric strength test of 2935Vrms, 60Hz, 60s.

I hope this helps answer your questions!

    Thanks,
    Jason Blackman

  • Hello, I checked the contents of CSA certification report for the inquiry that Seishin asked.

I could not find out the description below on Project: 2514508 for ISO7241M.

    4. Evaluated by thermal cycling and other tests for a temperature rating of 125C.

Instead, this description was found on other projects, such as Project: 2557796, 2557795 and etc..

I suppose that the thermal cycling was certificated on Project: 2557796 for ISO742X series, not ISO724X.

Could you let me clarify once again whether ISO724X series were certificated on this matter?

Thank you once again for your information.

    Best regards,

  • Atsushi,

My apologies, the document on the web isn't the same one I was looking at when I responded to your post. Here is the full certificate for the ISO7241:

    0447.CSA Report_ISO723x_724x_A_C_CF_M.pdf

    This should clear things up.

    Thanks,
    Jason
