Does USB OTG support USB powered

I'm sorry for this generic question, but I'm hoping someone can answer it without too much effort:

Does the USB OTG spec call out supplying power to a "device" ...when the OTG interface on the uC is in Host mode?

My customer needs to be a host (and supply power to a device) and must also be a device at times. Will a single OTG port work or does he need seperate host and device interfaces?

Hello,

Yes, the Host has to supply power to the Device via the VBUS pin. There could be cases where the Device has its own power supply in which case it will not draw current from VBUS but the Host still needs to supply power to VBUS.

Thank you for responding. The attachment also had good info on how an OTG port will supply power or not.
