TUSB2046B and the 5V Ports (D+ and D-)

Hi,

1) I'm trying to use the TUSB2046B USB HUB Controller, but wenn i designed the schematic i saw that the DM and DP Ports, they are directly with the Outputs connected.

but in every USB are D+ and D- = 5V, if the HUB can work only with 3,3V, How can i connect them?

2) an other question what is the maximum allowed Current for the SUSPEND Port, if i make a LED with a Resitor in series for long time test to this Port?

Hello, DP and DM are connected to 3.3V.

VBUS on the USB connector is 5V.

I don't quite understand your question.

thanks for the Schematic.

that means, i need the SN75240 absolutely ?? without it, can i damage the HUB ??

you can see my design in the attached File. i didn't use the SN75240 for the downstream output.

DP and DM of the Downstream Output (in my Schematic: X6) are 5V not 3.3V.

this is just an example for one Downstream port.

so i found the answer.

when i measure the Voltage of the Ports DM and DP without to connect any Device (floting) i get 5 Volts, but when i plug a Device, the Ports get down to 3.3V.
