We use the IC in ITE equipment and need the IC is reinforce insulation not function insulation since it is between primary section and second section.
I know Agency can recognized the IC not only using DTI but also using IEC 60950-1 2.10.5.4 semiconductor devices item to check. If no min DTI, the criteria is the IC must pass the TYPE TEST, Inspection criteria of 2.11 and routine test like electric strength. However any method, the component listed shall be shown as reinforce insulation parameter.
Why I want to know the DTI is ISO3082 certificates I got is not valid for our TUV and UL certificates. They are all shown basic insulation or single protection. UL and TUV can’t accept it as reinforce insulation , we don’t want change the IC and want to move on our project. UL and TUV can test it in unit. Since the IC is from TI and we can’t using TYPE TEST, FACTORY INSPECTION and ROUTINE TEST. We only to use DTI criteria.
I tear down the IC but still can’t check the min DTI exactly. Could you give us some help or give some suggestions? Thanks!
