Hello, i am planning on using TPD4S014 but a few in formations are missing on the datasheet. As my application is real low power i would like to know what is the leakage current on ACK pin when there is no power on VBUS. Also is there any worry about reverse current on VBUSOUT when there is no Power on VBUS? Should i add a blocking diode?

LR,

The IC doesnt have the reverse blocking diode. When the EN is OFF the current flow from the VBUS to the VBUSOUT is blocked. However, if you short the VBUS to gnd and have VBUSOUT (generated internally) at 5V, there will be leakage currents.

I am going through the data for the leakage through the ACK pin. I will get back to you on it.

LR,

The leakage on the ACK pin is not listed in the datasheet. This is not tested at Production. We measured it in the lab today on 3 devices.

Conditions: The FET on the ACK pin was turned off for the measurement. We swept the voltage on the ACK pin from 0 to 5V. All measurements were taken in room temp.

Results: The leakage thru' the pin varied from <1 nA to 4.7 nA as we sweep the voltage to 5V.
