tusb9260 firmware version

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB9260

hi,

i'm using the tusb9260 for bridge application beetwen usb and SSD hard disk in sata.

When my disk SSD ar'nt connected and on power up the usb peripheral not fonction on my PC + MSWindows OS XP.

All is good when my hard disk is first connected.

My final application used another CPU (MEN 02F19 board) and the system isn't boot until the ssd is connected.

it's a critical problem for my project.

First firmware i used is V98 , and now there are two new firmware in V99: what are the difference beetwen these firmwares? and what does it mean U1/U2 enabled or disabled.

Do you think these new firmware can solve my pb?

thanks a lot , best regards

  • Hello Laurent,

The new version of the firmware has some bug fixes and improves therefore I suggest you to use the new version. And the difference between the two V99 firmware versions is that one version has enabled the states U1 and U2. These are power management states and you can understand them as follows:

U1 —  Standby with Fast Recovery; link is in low power state and is not ready to
send packets, but can transition back to U0 within microseconds.

U2  —  Standby  with  Slow  Recovery;  link  power  saving  greater  than  U1  and
transition back to U0 within microseconds to milliseconds.
