Is there any EVM board for evaluating about the following interfaces?
- DVI/HDMI(RX) =>LVDS (TX)
- LVDS(RX) =>DVI/HDMI (TX)
Although I thought whether to have been the combination of TFP401 and LVDS interface IC, the EVM board which matched was not found.

If there are any good methods, please advise me well.

Thank you for your consideration.

  • Satoshi-san, we do have some EVMs available that are not shown on the TI website.  Please clarify your LVDS requirement: do you need 1 channel (3-4 data lanes) or 2 channels (6-8 data lanes)?

    Thanks,
    RE

  • Dear RossE-san

    Thank you for the reply. and, sorry for late reply.

    LVDS required numbers differ depending on a customer's model (the bit# (8 bits/ten bits) of a picture signal (RGB/Ycbcr), and signal format (WXGA/FHD)).

    I following-do an example.

    - WXGA-8bit
    Data: 4 pair (1-phase)
        = 4 Data lanes/1ch
    Clock: One pair (TYP: 78 MHz)
    - FHD-10bit
    Data: 5 pair (2-phase)
        = 5 Data lanes/2ch
    Clock: 1 pair (2-phase) (TYP: 74.25 MHz)

    Thank you for your consideration.

  • Satoshi-san, I can provide you a TFP403 EVM and SN75LVDS83B EVM.  Please send me your address information and email me at:  reisenbeis <at> ti <dotcom>.  For a 2-channel LVDS transmitter (such as the 387A), that needs to come from the former-National group.

    Best regards,
    RE
