Voltge Level Translation for SN75LVDT1422

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LVDT1422

Hi,

I am interested to use SN75LVDT1422 to serialize a set of parallel data which are in 5V TTL.

In the datasheet, it says that SN75LVDT1422 accepts 14 TTL input lines and generate 2 LVDS streams. But the definition of TLL is not clear here. Is it a 5V logic or a 3.3 V logic? Do you think I need voltage level shifter here to translate my data from 5V to 3.3V or can I hook them directly without breaking the SN75LVDT1422?

Also  SN75LVDT1422 has several LVDS VCC pins and VCC pins. For example: TX VCC and TX LVDS VCC. Does it mean, for VCC, I should give 5 V and for LVDS VCC I should give +3.3 V?

I would be very grateful if you can point me to a technical document for SN75LVDT1422. The only technical document I could find is TSW1001. I found schematic there, but there is nothing that talks on power supply connection.

Thank you,

Auralius
