HI,

Project: Protection relay I/O module

Application: industrial

SOM(module processor)   -- PHY(LAN8710) --à I/O Module

 

They want to implement Fiber optic compatibility according to their end customers requirement.

Per discussion, they can’t change SOM module with LAN8710. As SOM customer is buying from 3rd party. also LAN8710 is not available with FX compatibility. But they are ready implement/change anything at the Peripheral module side.

Do we have any suggestion/idea , kindly advice.

    Hi,

    TI current portfolio has sevral single 100BaseT PHYs supporting FX: DP83620/30/40.

    Our  roadmap include also smaller packages FX support PHYs.

    These will be indtorduced towards end of the year.
