DS91M040 output jitter

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS91M040

Has anyone tested the jitter for the DS91M040 before?  The data sheet from TI just states low jitter, but no where in the data sheet actually specify how much jitter there is.  Since low jitter means differently for different people, it is hard to know what exactly they mean by it.

Anyone has any idea or tips?

Thanks,

Charlie

We have limited data on the jitter performance of the DS91M040, but what we do have indicates:

Jitter performance is worst at the hot end of the temperature range

With 250Mbps data, the RMS jitter is less than 75ps for cold and room temperature measurements.  When the temperature gets hot, there is some pattern dependent jitter that appears, which results in the distribution splitting into two normal distributions and p-p jitter is over 100ps.
