Is it allowed to connect Thermal Pad to GND plane ?
In datasheet http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tpl9201.pdf , Page 8, Figure 1. Serial Communications, you shall add a new line which would describe an update of Output Control Register from a serial shift register ,as explained under chapter Serial Communications Interface.
