TUSB9261 Crystal VSSOSC contradiction in Data Manual and Implementation Guide

Hello,

Figure 2 in the TUSB9261 Implementation guide is called "Example Crystal Implementation", and has VSSOSC connected to ground.

Under section 6.1 of the TUSB9261 Data Manual, second paragraph ends with "The VSSOSC should not be connected to PCB ground when using a crystal". Figure 6-1 shows a "typical crystal connection" with the crystal load capacitors connected to VSSOSC instead of ground.

Which is correct?

    Hello Erland,

    Thanks for your comments, please follow the datasheet: If using a crystal do not connect VSSOSC to the PCB's ground, if using an oscillator connect VSSOSC to PCB's ground.

    When using a crystal, connect the ground lead of the load capacitors to VSSOSC.
