TCA9406 peaks on SCL lines

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9406

I am using TCA9406 to interface two I2C devices (both Vcca = 3.3V) with a microcontroller (Vccb = 5V). The SCL_A and SCL_B lines were probed with an oscilloscope and the following results observed [image attached].

I am getting peaks at some instances. These peaks have been recorded to go up to 6.20V on the high side. Is it normal behaviour from the TCA9406?

I am worried that these sudden peaks may pose a problem to the sensitive sensors or even damage them. I am using the typical application circuit of the TCA9406 with the OE pin pulled high to Vcca = 3.3V (always enabled). No pull-up resistors are installed on any side. Only internal 10K ones are used. I have tried using a 0.1 uF capacitor on Vcca but the scope output remains the same.

Rise and Fall times are around 200 ns. Frequency is close to 100 kHz which seems correct.

[It may seem like a Probe Over-compensation problem but i have the probes calibrated correctly.]
