[DS90UB913Q/914Q] camera mode (SER: MODE pin = L; DES: MODE pin = H) & display mode (SER: MODE pin = H; DES: MODE pin = L)

Hello~

In the bottom of page 46 on DS90UB913Q/914Q datasheet, I found below comment.

"The Slave ID index/match is supported only in the camera mode (SER: MODE pin = L; DES: MODE pin = H). For Multiple device addressing in display mode (SER: MODE pin = H; DES: MODE pin = L), use the I2C pass through function."

I was seraching to whole DS90UB913Q/914Q datasheet, but unable to find the description for "camera mode (SER: MODE pin = L; DES: MODE pin = H)" and "display mode (SER: MODE pin = H; DES: MODE pin = L)".

Would you please exaplin these modes??

Thanks... C.W. :)

  • Hi CW,

For the DS90UB913/4 chipset, camera mode and display mode are no longer configured by the MODE pin; so please disregard this note. To access remote slave devices, use DES registers 0x08~0x17. This will be corrected on the next revision of datasheet.
