All,

A customer has inquired about the LMH0387 termination. The question is, "If we use the LMH0387 for our board, what happen when the system turn off, will the LMH0387 have a passive termination so that the line is terminated correctly? I cannot find the information in datasheet for the LMH0387

I am talking about the 75 Ohms termination and the system is completely off, no power to the device but the SDI cable is connected. Will other system see 75 ohms terminated inside the chip."

Any assistance you could provide is greatly appreciated.

Yes, the termination network inside the LMH0387 is active under both power-on and power-off conditions.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for the quick response on this one. Do you know if we have "a 3D model (preferably a .sat model) of the LHM0387 with the material specifications so the Connector vendor can help me to simulate my layout?"

Unfortunately we do not have a 3D model for the LMH0387.
