I've mistakenly been driving these IC's with 3.3 volts. On my bench top test unit its been working (more or less). Unfortunately, I've deployed over 50 units into the field and have only now just realized this part required 5V after reviewing the datasheet and getting some weird behaviour from my units. As the IC's are still working sporadically at 3.3V what sorts of problems will I see arise by not powering them according to the specs at 5V. Its easy enough for me to kludge the boards so I'll be doing this regardless. But it would help me to sort out some bugs if I knew with certainty that driving these IC's at 3.3V will cause problems.
