Is there a way to make the TUSB7320 run at Gen1 speeds (2.5 Gbps)? We don't need Gen2 speed and Gen1 would limit risk. Ideally, we would like to do this with EEPROM settings so we can use the TI driver. Other approaches may be useful.
Thank you,
ben

Hello Ben,
The TUSB7320 is backward compatible with Gen1 and therefore, You can connect it to a Gen1 without issues. Also the TUSB7320 compliance the PCIe Gen2 specification and You shouldn't have any problems working with it.

Hello Diego,
I am interested in a different situation. I would like the TUSB7320 to run at Gen1 speeds even when plugged into a Gen2 system. Running at a lower speed would make board verification much easier. Is there a way to do this?
Thank you,
ben
Hello Ben,
Unfortunately this is not possible since the TUSB7320.

Diego.
