I need confirmation that the DS90C241 transmitter, and it's related devices, will interface seamlessly with Sony displays that use their CXB1466R (older part) and CXB1458R and other Sony GVIF receivers.
Thanks.

I was unable to locate detailed info for the Sony GVIF Tx and Rx devices. Based on the Sony product briefs and GVIF White paper, I found the following:
- Sony GVIF is 400 mV diff. signal levels w/DC balancing much like TI device LVDS outputs
- Sony GVIF is employs NRZ encoding at the Tx and our device Data Sheet does not indicate NRZ encoding.
- Sony GVIF Tx operates to 1.2 GBPS rates, TI device to 840 MBPS
- Sony GVIF Tx is 24 bit parallel LVCMOS in like TI device
- Sony GVIF Tx shift clock f range is 7.6 - 42 MHz, TI dvice is 5 - 35 MHz
- Sony and TI devices use 3.3 V supply
- Sony GVIF devices operate over Ta = -40 - +85 deg. C, TI devices: -40 to +105 deg. C
So, it looks like the TI Tx device will not interoperate with the Sony Rx device. The main problem is the NRZ coding for the Sony Tx.
