hi!
i use onet4201ld for my thesis(driving laser diode and use it as optical transmitter)
can u please help me designing a circuit with microcontroller that control the driver and laser diode.

Hello Reza.
I'm sorry but we do not have a microtrontoller circuit design that we can provide to you for control of the laser driver. The laser driver has analog control of the laser bias and modulation currents. However, you can use an MCU with a voltage DAC or PWM output to control these voltages.

hello again
just one other question
for a test, i want to use the driver in a simple circuit
is it possible to use the driver instead of the driver stage in the audio transmitter in the link below?

Reza,
The ONET4201LD is not suitable for this application. The ONET4201LD is intended for high speed (GHz) digital communications. The analog audio input to the device will be severly distorted by internal limiting amplifiers. The signal will most likely not even come through properly. Since you are operating at such a low frequency, I would just stick with what they have shown in the schematic.
Alex.
Hi,
I am using ONET4201LD for the driving laser diode at 1Gbps. Could you suggest me the value of biasing inductor to be used ?
Thanks
-Sudarshan
Sudarshan,
I recommend an inductance of 68uH or, preferably larger. The constraint may be the physical space you have available.
Some recommended part numbers are GLFR1608T680M-LR or GLFR1608T101M-LR from TDK. These have low series resistance.

Alex.
